Episode Details

Mike Hawkins Jr. is becoming a household name. Jon Gruden gave the WVU quarterback a helmet sticker after Week 1 and spoke glowingly about what he saw. Two weeks later, Hawkins accounted for all five Mountaineer touchdowns in the 38–27 win over No. 25 Virginia—and Walter Camp named him National FBS Offensive Player of the Week. In this episode, Mountaineer Paul breaks down Gruden’s praise, Hawkins’s five-touchdown performance, and what this national recognition means for West Virginia as its quarterback’s star continues to rise.
