A Hog Killin’ Time - “A Matter of Life and Debt”
Written by Brandon L. Joyner
In the dusty town of Giddy-Up Gulch, life is usually slow, spirits are strong, and trouble has a funny way of finding Prudence Beaumont and her colorful band of misfits. But when banker Horace Dyke bursts into the Scratchin’ Post claiming the bank has been robbed, Pru and Lucky Allman discover something far stranger than missing money.
A mysterious ledger page has disappeared—one that could have serious consequences for someone’s future. Before they can get to the bottom of it, Pru, Lucky, and their unexpected companions find themselves trapped inside the bank vault with a growing list of questions, suspicious characters, and tensions running hotter than the prairie sun.
As secrets surface and everyone has something to hide, getting out of the vault may be only the beginning of the trouble.
What exactly is written on that missing page—and who will pay the price for it?
