The iconic Ripley’s Believe It or Not! attraction at San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf is scheduled to close by the end of 2026. The company has not explained the decision, but the closure will end a roughly 60-year run in one of the city’s most recognizable tourist districts.
Gov. Gavin Newsom signed seven data-center-related bills, including SB 886, which is intended to keep the costs of powering large data centers from being passed on to residential and other nonparticipating utility customers. The legislation reflects growing concern over the energy demands of AI and large-scale computing facilities in California.
