Jewish communities are under attack in Canada

Jewish communities are under attack in Canada

Published 1 week ago
Description

Noah Shack, CEO of the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs, discusses the Yom Kippur shooting at a Belleville synagogue that nearly became a mass-casualty event. He examines how inadequate federal security funding leaves smaller Jewish communities vulnerable, the role of anti-Jewish conspiracy theories in fuelling radicalization, and Canada's double standard in foreign policy toward Israel. Shack argues that government rhetoric contributes to an environment enabling extremism, threatening not only Jewish Canadians but Canada's fundamental values and way of life.
