In the letter, Xi said China stands ready to deepen exchanges and cooperation with all participating parties to advance global skills development, better contribute to world economic growth and improve people's livelihoods and well-being.

习近平在贺信中表示，中国愿同各参赛方一道，深化交流合作，推动全球技能事业发展，为促进世界经济增长、增进各国人民福祉做出更大贡献。

Xi said the new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation is accelerating, bringing profound and far-reaching changes to global vocational skills development.

习近平指出，当前新一轮科技革命和产业变革深入发展，给全球职业技能发展带来深刻而深远的影响。

The WorldSkills Competition closely aligns with industry needs and provides a valuable platform for skilled professionals from around the world to hone their skills and learn from and exchange experiences with one another, Xi said.

习近平表示，世界技能大赛紧贴产业需求，为世界各国技能人才切磋技艺、交流互鉴搭建了宝贵平台。

China will inspire and guide more workers, especially young people, to achieve career success through professional skills, he said.

Premier Li Qiang attended the event and officially declared the competition open.
