Episode Details

NIL money is shaking up college football—are young stars cashing in at the cost of long-term success? Former New Hampshire Wildcat Tyler Pereira joins Brian Smith to reveal behind-the-scenes secrets of recruiting, transfer portal chaos, and player valuations that are turning NCAA football into a mini-NFL. Find out why 3-star prospects can pull million-dollar deals and how positional value like edge rusher versus offensive tackle dictates NIL payouts and offers.

Key discussion points include the proposed Protect College Sports Act, the impact of transfer rules on player movement, and why team culture and development often trump short-term paydays. Learn how off-field behavior—from social media activity to family relationships—determines whether prospects land top offers from powerhouses like Georgia or Michigan. Tyler Pereira shares first-hand experiences in NIL negotiations and hard lessons for high school recruits eyeing the transfer portal. Is your talent enough, or does character seal the deal?
