Back to EpisodesLindsay Clancy Wants Case Dismissed
Description
Lindsay Clancy's defense is asking the court to dismiss the murder case and arguing that another trial would violate double-jeopardy protections following the mistrial. The defense is also seeking an investigation into the lone holdout juror and his conduct during deliberations. No ruling has been issued, and prosecutors have not yet publicly announced whether they will seek a retrial.
Also today on Crime Talk: the latest from the Caleb Flynn murder trial, Tomasz Kosowski challenges an important part of the prosecution's theory involving Steven Cozzi, and a Florida woman claiming self-defense faces questions over forensic evidence involving a pillow. Court TV reports that prosecutors say testing was consistent with the pillow having been folded over the firearm when it was discharged.
Plus Legal History, our Legal Quote of the Day, and a new Dumb Criminal involving an alleged campaign-sign theft case in Tennessee.
