Today’s word of the day is ‘excuses’ as in Paul Skenes as in the World Baseball Classic as in the Pittsburgh Pirates. It was a disappointing year for Skenes. He was not who we knew him to be. Could the preseason tournament be a factor? (11:40) The MLB postseason has a slight issue. The AL East will have to battle the AL East all the way to the ALCS. Does that make sense? (21:09) The Giants game last night was a bloodbath. Jaxon Dart, hurt. Malik Nabers, hurt. Brian Burns, hurt. Andrew Thomas, hurt. (26:30) Joe Buck got a big contract. Troy Aikman did not. Oops. (33:30) Review: Tony. (37:35) NPPOD. (43:00) The Blue Jays had a bad year. Missing the postseason after a World Series run. Dylan Cease is hurt. Vladdy Jr had a terrible season. Not great. Paramount takeover of Warner Bros. Discovery is happening. Major news in the media world. The Ellison family has won in the end. What about the consumers?  The Los Angeles Clippers have named a new acting Governor. Now what?  NBA has loosened its rules against private equity. Who could have seen this coming?
