An ATM Machine Ate Launa’s Debit Card

Description
1. A Quick Publix Stop
- Launa stops at Publix to use the ATM and withdraw $200.
- She uses it because Presto ATM lets her get cash without a fee.
2. The ATM Steals Her Card
- After entering her PIN, the machine suddenly says it cannot return her card.
- Launa immediately starts freaking out because she just got paid and needs her card.
- She’s standing outside the ATM talking to it like it can hear her.
3. Enter: Mister Publix
- Launa heads to customer service and eventually gets a manager.
- The manager has a key and is able to open the ATM and retrieve Launa’s card.
- Launa is relieved—and provides approximately every piece of personal information she has to prove it’s her card.
4. “Your Card Looks Broken”
- The manager notices Launa’s Suncoast card has an unusual notch/indentation on the side.
- She suggests that might be why the ATM swallowed it.
- Launa explains: “That’s how they gave me the card!”
- The guys joke that the ATM probably thought it was a fake card.
5. Launa vs. the ATM
- Launa says she’s probably never using that ATM again.
- J.R. points out that these bizarre things seem to happen to Launa constantly.
- Launa insists: “I over-exaggerate a little bit, but I’m not exaggerating on this one.”
6. Shopping Is a Pleasure… Eventually
- Launa gives a shoutout to the Publix manager in Apollo Beach who rescued her card.
