Eli Lilly has launched LillyDirect, an online service allowing Australians to have weight loss drugs like Mounjaro delivered to their homes after uploading a doctor's prescription. The initiative aims to reduce costs and improve access for patients, as two-thirds of Australian adults are overweight or obese, conditions linked to more than 200 illnesses and 13 types of cancer. Medical professionals have raised concerns about safety risks and the removal of face-to-face pharmacy checks in the care process.
