Published 2 weeks, 3 days ago
Description
Jetstar staff have launched 24-hour industrial action, waiving fees for checked-in baggage, seat changes and excess baggage charges while campaigning for better pay and conditions. The Australian Services Union is demanding wage increases, improved morning shift penalties, overtime payments and entitlements. The action coincides with school holidays and the AFL Grand Final weekend, while Virgin staff are also negotiating a new enterprise agreement over working conditions.
