You’re The Useful Fool

Episode 1294 Published 1 week ago
Description

The Dudes open the show on what it actually costs to see live music in Colorado—Ticketmaster fees, Ball Arena get-in prices, and whether a night out still makes sense.

Later, the fellas break down the Loop Tour blowup. Macklemore opened for Ed Sheeran at MetLife Stadium (Sept. 4–5), yelled “Free Palestine,” and played “Hind’s Hall.” Patriots owner Robert Kraft barred him from Gillette Stadium, citing recent stage remarks plus a “broader history of antisemitic rhetoric.” Other NFL stadiums followed. Macklemore was cut from the remaining U.S. dates. Then Finneas, Lukas Graham, Aaron Rowe, and Sheeran’s touring band Beoga walked off in protest. Sheeran said the promoter made the call. The internet made him the story anyway.

The guys close out on the money behind the anti-AI and data-center protests—Swiss billionaire Hansjörg Wyss, U.K. climate foundations and the Neville Roy Singham network on one side, Amy Kremer’s Humans First rallies on the other—plus the first-20-months inflation comparison between Biden and Trump 2.0 (Joint Economic Committee: roughly $2,881 less in extra household costs under Trump), and Anthropic’s September 2026 threat report: China, Russia, Iran, and a Yemen weapons cell using Claude for cyber ops, surveillance, missile guidance, and other work the company says it shut down.
