Description
Frankenstein by Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley — Letter 2
With his ship secured and crew assembling, Robert Walton draws closer to the voyage he has long imagined—but his excitement is shadowed by a profound loneliness and longing for a true friend. Writing from Archangel, he reflects on the men who will accompany him, his own restless ambition, and the mixture of hope and fear he feels as departure approaches.
