1. Florida is averaging 54.0 points a game. Not 34 — 54. The Gators put 66 on Florida Atlantic, 52 on Campbell, and 44 on Auburn on the road, and they have 12 rushing touchdowns in three weeks. Jadan Baugh has 458 rushing yards and 8 touchdowns, tied for the FBS lead, and is the first Florida back with 100 yards in four straight games since Fred Taylor in 1997.

2. Pete Golding has been to this stadium before and it did not go well. "My last memory of going to this place was being No. 14 in the country against a 5-5 football team and getting beat," he said Monday — "much less them being a Top 25 team right now at their home place." That 2024 trip ended a playoff push. He spent Monday's podium making sure his locker room heard it.

3. Jon Sumrall was told his team was favored over the No. 4 team in America and did not accept the compliment. He called Trinidad Chambliss the best quarterback in college football and as good a player as he has seen with his own two eyes, called Ole Miss "well coached, talented, huge challenge," and said Florida has no chance playing the way it did at Auburn — 16 penalties, 138 yards, and a win anyway.
