The Gospel Explained

Do you know the gospel? Maybe you've heard the word your whole life; in church, in passing, quoted in a verse somewhere but never actually understood what it means, or why it's relevant to you.
I didn't either, not really. My own journey to knowing Jesus started just a few short years ago, and once I finally understood it, it changed everything about how I see myself, how I move through hard days, and how much confidence I carry.
This week I'm sharing my heart and walking you through the whole story of the gospel, simply — from Adam's choice in the garden, to the impossible standard of perfection none of us can meet, to why Jesus had to be born of a virgin to make it right for you and me. I'll tell you what tetelestai means; the word Jesus said from the cross, "it is finished" and why that word carries so much weight. And I'll talk about why hundreds of people who saw Jesus alive after the resurrection were willing to die rather than take back what they saw.
No one dies for a lie.
By the end of this episode, you'll be able to explain the gospel to someone else in a few minutes. So grab your tissues, because this is deep, and if you're anything like me, you won't keep your eyes dry as we express gratitude for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
