Episode Details

Meet retired Navy CAPTAIN, Sam Pennington, who spent nearly 33 years in the Navy, starting his career at the Recruit Training Center, in Orlando, FL. He spent about 7 years enlisted, as a Submarine Machinist Mate, then 25 years as a Surface Warfare Officer. He retired on 31 Oct. 2020 and he his now a private consultant, focused on helping companies work with the Navy. Everyone's experience with transitioning is different, but most of the resources and the things to think about are the same. Planning for retirement and executing the plan is a lot like a complex algebra equation... the math is the same for everyone, but the variables change for each person. He will talk about some of the things he thought through when doing my math problem and hopefully help others think through their math problem.
