What if the healing you’re asking God for isn’t the only thing He wants to give you? 

In her first year away at college, Grace found herself facing a season of severe sickness and seizures that would stretch on far longer than she ever imagined. As she struggled physically, she was also wrestling spiritually - resisting the obedience God was calling her toward and struggling to surrender her own plans to His. 

Grace’s story isn’t simply a story of miraculous healing. In her own words, it is “a story of reluctant obedience that is met by an ever faithful God; of severe sickness met with His sustaining grace.” 

In this episode of The Shieldmaidens, Grace vulnerably shares what happened when she finally stopped fighting God’s will and fully surrendered to Him. Her story is a reminder that sometimes God’s faithfulness doesn’t look like immediately removing the trial. Sometimes His grace sustains us through it... and sometimes surrender becomes the place where we discover just how faithful He has been all along.
