Episode Details

Tonight’s story is “The Butterfly That Stamped” by Rudyard Kipling, a whimsical tale from his Just So Stories.

Set in the days of the wise King Solomon, the story follows a tiny butterfly who makes a rather enormous claim: with just one stamp of his foot, he can make the whole world tremble.

What follows is a playful tale of pride, marriage, magic, and the trouble that can come from trying to impress someone you love.

Full of Kipling’s humor and wonderfully strange storytelling, this is a lighthearted little adventure to help you slow down, settle in, and drift toward sleep.

Get comfortable, close your eyes, and enjoy tonight’s story.
