In Praise of Vulnerability

We often admire people who seem strong.

The person who stays composed.

Who keeps going.

Who does not complain.

Who seems able to handle everything alone.

And there is something admirable in that.

But what if we think we have made strength too narrow?

Because there is another kind of strength that can look almost like its opposite:

the courage to be honest about where we are not completely strong.
