Spooky Season is now in session, summer is over, the days are getting shorter and colder. It is the perfect time of the year to sit down and watch a horror film or two. Or many if you're a big horror nut, like Anders.

On this episode, Anders reviews and discusses one of the most popular and iconic horror franchises of all time: The Evil Dead Franchise. The first Evil Dead is the ultimate cabin in the woods film that has influenced numerous filmmakers, writers and special effects artists over the years. The brainchild of Sam Raimi, who arrived on the filmmaking scene with this raw and no-holds barred bloody masterpiece. Raimi has remained with the franchise. He directed and co-wrote Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn and Army of Darkness. After the original trilogy was completed a remake was released in 2013. In 2023, a new addition to the franchise was released: Evil Dead Rise. The latest Evil Dead film, Evil Dead Burn, was released into cinemas earlier this year. And Evil Dead Wrath is on the way in 2028. The Evil Dead films introduced the world to Bruce Campbell, who played the great character of Ash. A relatable everyman hero/anti-hero, who finds himself caught in a hellish situation. Often because of his own making. A groovy horror franchise indeed.

Anders's screenwriter work can also be seen at work in the horror, car chase thriller Delivery Run, co-written with & directed by Joey Palmroos. The film has been released digitally and also in select cinemas in the US and the UK. In Finland it was released on Apple TV after finishing its limited cinema run and was the Number 1 film for multiple weeks. You can read a review about it here on the Fangoria website.
