We're back after a solid week of gaming news, reviews and of course releases! Wolverine is out and generating plenty of discussion, and Xbox held their TGS broadcast with Hideo Kojima stealing the show with new information on OD and the recently signed PHYSINT. We talk through it all in The DayOne Show Episode 331!

As always, we kick off the show catching up and diving into the latest games we've been playing. Jon kicks off discussing Marvel's Wolverine, Sony's latest PlayStation 5 exclusive from Insomniac Games. Both Jon and Nick have been playing it this week, and it's been under a fair bit of scrutiny - while some of it's fair, some of it is pretty overblown.

Jesse published a new preview for Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember, which has a new demo of the same content you can check out, as well as a review of CONTROL Resonant, which he thoroughly enjoyed. He described it as an excellent genre-shifting sequel, that moves the series from crazy flying third-person shooting into crazier, even more flying’ier third person melee combat.

On the news front, there's a fair amount to discuss. Xbox broadcast their TGS Show and showed off some cool games and reveals, and there's a bit of celebrity vibe. Mads Mikkelsen Wants to 'Make You Cry For Mercy' as he gets revealed as the new antagonist for Modern Warfare 4. The celebrity vibe continued with Kojima taking the stage in special appearance, as he also announced Bill Skarsgård as the lead in Physint. Beyond that, a big Xbox Game Pass rumour about day one games caused a big buzz, along with the appearance of 'mythic' achievements. Interesting times!
