Why do we expect coaches to be ready for the biggest job they've ever had simply because they were a great player?
Being able to play isn't the same as being able to teach and coach. Being able to understand football isn't the same as being able to communicate it. Being a leader in a dressing room isn't the same as managing large groups of people.
