Launching a podcast gets easier when you start with people who already know you. Your personal and professional network gives you a natural place to introduce your new show because relationships already exist. Those people may become your first listeners, supporters, reviewers, and sources of word of mouth.
Tell People About Your Podcast
Dave challenges new podcasters who keep their show a secret from the people around them. Family, friends, colleagues, past clients, and people on your email list already have a connection with you. Tell them about the podcast.
Make the request simple and specific. Give people the exact words they can use to share the show. Give them a link that lets them choose where they want to listen. Then ask them to follow or subscribe.
