Colin Kaepernick sat down with Stephen Jackson and Matt Barnes, hosts of the All The Smoke podcast, and for the first time in an interview, Colin sheds light on Nolan Xavier Wells’ autopsy, and nothing could make me more proud.

We know Colin Kaepernick paid for Nolan’s second, independent autopsy performed by Dr. Roger Mitchell Jr. During this interview, Colin speaks about the fact that Nolan’s lungs and throat structures were not available for Dr. Mitchell’s examination and that crucial questions surrounding Nolan’s passing remain unanswered.

These are the exact issues I have been trying to get everybody focused back on. Dr. Mitchell’s independent autopsy listed Nolan’s cause and manner of passing as undetermined pending further investigation, and he was unable to examine Nolan’s airway and lungs for the presence of water. He also did not receive parts of Nolan’s throat, limiting his ability to evaluate whether a neck injury could have contributed to Nolan’s passing.

I love that Colin Kaepernick is using his platform to bring attention back to these crucial questions surrounding Nolan’s autopsy.

I also want to see more athletes speaking about Nolan, especially considering Nolan wanted to be a football player and had dreams of taking his talent to the NFL. I would love to see more athletes, rappers, actors and other influential people use their platforms to keep Nolan’s name and story alive.

Honorable mention to Ryan Clark, who posted himself on Instagram wearing a Nolan Xavier Wells T-shirt.

Colin Kaepernick also spoke about Jay-Z during the interview, which, after my last video, I wasn’t sure he would continue doing. I’m happy to report that he is. Of all the interviews I’ve watched, I think this may be the clearest Colin has been when explaining his issues with Jay-Z and Jay-Z’s partnership with the NFL.

And speaking of Jay-Z, there are now reports claiming he’s having difficulty finding an artist for the Super Bowl halftime show and may have to fill the role himself. Give me a break. Every artist and their mama wants to hit the Super Bowl stage.

We’ll touch on that at the end of the video. For now, our focus is Nolan Xavier Wells and the questions surrounding his autopsy that still need answers.
