Episode Details

Eric Karl Ludwig, a beloved 58-year-old educator and coach from Wilmington, North Carolina, passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, mentorship, and community impact. For thirty years, he taught industrial technology in coastal North Carolina, coached lacrosse with an unwavering commitment to inclusivity, and mentored Science Olympiad teams. A passionate fisherman, skilled woodworker, and devoted animal lover—especially rescue dogs—he touched countless lives through his generosity and warm spirit. His neighbor Mike has taken on the care of Eric’s dog, Quinn, continuing his mission of kindness. In lieu of formal services, Eric’s family invites loved ones to honor him with personal memories and toasts, and to donate to the ASPCA in his name.
