The Spirit of Fear: Is Fear Controlling You? | Testing the SpiritsWhat happens when fear stops being a warning and starts becoming a master?Bennett Tanton and Laura Baker return for another episode of Testing the Spirits to examine the spirit of fear through Scripture, personal experiences, and the Christian understanding of spiritual warfare. They discuss why fear draws our attention toward worst-case scenarios, how it can distort discernment, and why Christians can become so consumed with demons, prophecy, and the supernatural that they lose sight of Jesus Christ.Bennett shares how his experiences conducting Sasquatch research changed his relationship with fear. Laura discusses spiritual authority, the importance of renewing the mind, and how faith, repentance, and love shape her approach to spiritual warfare. The conversation explores 2 Timothy 1:7, 1 John 4:18, Ephesians 6, and the account of Peter walking on water.Laura closes the episode with a prayer of renunciation for listeners who wish to participate.Fear may be loud, but it does not have to make your decisions.
