Episode 1968 Published 1 month ago
Description

Kewanee’s Hispanic Heritage Celebration returns Saturday, September 26th, from 4 to 11 PM near the American Legion and Cookies Bar & Parlour. Now in its fourth year, the event will feature expanded street closures, more room for vendors, and an evening of food, music, culture, and family activities. Organizers Jessica and Daniela say the celebration highlights Hispanic heritage, including Mexico’s Independence Day on September 16th, while recognizing traditions from across the Americas. Visitors can enjoy tacos, homemade tortillas, churros, dorilocos, music, a student coloring contest, scholarships, and the Orgullo Hispano Award. Volunteers, vendors, and sponsors can email KewaneeHispanicHeritage@gmail.com.
