Episode Details

Free stuff, hot meals, and community love are on the menu this weekend at the Cape Fear Mutual Aid Market — no money needed, just goodwill. Started in 2020 at Wilmington City Hall during protests, it’s now a permanent hub at Sokoto House, turning a garden into a resource center where folks donate gently used clothes, school supplies, furniture, and more — then grab what they need. Donate Friday, Sept 18, 10 AM–8 PM; giveaway Sat & Sun, Sept 20–21, 10 AM–4 PM (items may stay out overnight if weather permits). It’s grassroots, neighbor-to-neighbor care — and you’re invited to join or get help.
