Episode Details

Robert Clotworthy, the iconic narrator behind Ancient Aliens and The Curse of Oak Island, joins The Other Side of Midnight / The Giant Radio Show to pull back the curtain on the sonic craft behind his legendary voice. Clotworthy reveals his elite four-microphone recording setup—including an ultra-high-end Neumann M49V that sounds like "pouring cream"—and explains how recording all four mics simultaneously allows producers to sculpt distinct vocal tones depending on whether he's narrating close-up or distant shots of ancient monuments. Beyond studio gear, the discussion touches on upcoming UFO disclosures, mysterious historical finds buried 200 feet deep on Oak Island, and an intriguing upcoming project in Europe.
