Story Transcript:
Cy: Wrth fynd i mewn i'r ysgol breswyl newydd hwnnw, y teimlad oedd fel dod i fyd newydd sbon i Rhys.
En: When entering that new boarding school, the feeling for Rhys was like coming into a brand-new world.
Cy: Roedd yr ardal yn Snowdonia yn bopeth roedd pawb wedi ei ddweud - trawiadol, serch hynny anghyfarwydd.
En: The area in Snowdonia was everything everyone had said it would be - striking, yet unfamiliar.
Cy: Ar ôl i'w rieni wahanu, teimlai Rhys fel pe bai ei fywyd wedi troi wyneb i waered.
En: After his parents separated, Rhys felt as if his life had turned upside down.
Cy: Roedd o'n hiraethu am ei gartref, ond roedd ei fam a'i dad wedi penderfynu mai yma y byddai'n cael y cyfle gorau i ddechrau eto.
En: He longed for his home, but his mother and father had decided that here he would get the best chance to start again.
Cy: Mae Carys a Emrys, dau disgybl arall yn yr ysgol, yn gwneud eu gorau i wneud i Rhys deimlo'n gartrefol.
En: Carys and Emrys, two other pupils at the school, did their best to make Rhys feel at home.
Cy: "Dewch, Rhys, mae brechdanau cinio'n orau os wyt ti'n dod yn gynnar," meddai Carys yn ddigon llawen.
En: "Dewch, Rhys, lunch sandwiches are best if you come early," said Carys cheerfully.
Cy: Ond roedd Rhys yn fwy awyddus i fod allan, i deimlo awel natur ar ei wyneb nag i fynd i'r cantîn, sy'n golofn o sŵn ac arogleuon.
En: But Rhys was keener to be outside, to feel nature's breeze on his face rather than going to the canteen, which was a column of noise and smells.
Cy: Bob dydd, wrth i'r dail ddisgyn fel eira'n araf ar dir y mynyddoedd, teimlai Rhys y magl o straen y cartref.
En: Every day, as the leaves fell slowly like snow on the mountain's terrain, Rhys felt the snare of stress from home.
Cy: Roedd yr ysgol yn ei rythmau caeth.
En: The school was in its strict rhythms.
Cy: Roedd amser cinio, gwersi, a phob math o reolau yn tynnu ar ei amynedd.
En: Lunchtime, lessons, and all kinds of rules tested his patience.
Cy: Beth bynnag oedd ynddo ef, roedd fel pe bai angen dianc i'r awyr agored.
En: Whatever was in him, he felt the need to escape to the outdoors.
Cy: Un diwrnod, penderfynodd wneud hynny.
En: One day, he decided to do just that.
Cy: Wrth iddi fachlud, Rhys aeth ati i archwilio mynyddoedd creigiog Snowdonia ei hun, heb ddweud wrth neb.
En: As the sun set, Rhys went to explore the rocky mountains of Snowdonia by himself, without telling anyone.
Cy: Y dramorfaenau yn sibrwd straeon o'r gorffennol, tra bod coed derw yn siglo'n synhwyrol yn y gwynt hydrefol.
En: The ancient stones whispered tales of the past, while oak trees swayed sensibly in the autumn wind.
Cy: Roedd y gweundir yn gyfrinachol, yn glo chwyrlïo mewn tlysni tawel.
En: The moorland was secretive, spinning quietly in serene splendor.
Cy: Fe wnaeth hynotaeth Rhys fynd a chyffro.
En: This adventure took Rhys with excitement.
Cy: Ond yn sydyn, cododd awyrgylch annisgwyl.
En: But suddenly, an unexpected atmosphere arose.
Cy: Storm yn naid dros y bryn, gwynt yn rhuo.
En: A storm leaped over the hill, wind roaring.
Cy: Afrosgo roedd o'n ddarganfod ei hun wedi colli.
En: Awkwardly, he found himself lost.
Cy: Tystiodd i'r gwynt a'i ofnau yn gymysg ac yn troelli.
En: He witnessed the wind and his fears swirling together.
Cy: Ddim yn gwybod pa ffordd i droi
