He's definitely the first pro snowboarder on Swatch... and he influenced the way the snowboarding grew from it's infancy into where we are now in a big way. Jose ran the very first snowboard camp based on the Swedish skateboard summer camps. Some of his first campers were Craig, Windell, and Ken Ach... so yeah.
