Description
A glad heart makes for a cheerful countenance (Proverbs 15:13). There are those times when a smile, just misses us. When heaviness crowds out gladness, Proverbs 17 urges us to find a reason to still be glad and smile. It doesn’t deny life’s struggles, but it does remind us that joy is a choice, made in spite of circumstances. This prayer is lighthearted and joy focused to help us draw cheerfulness within, because somehow it does really change and uplift our spirit.
