The ride sharing business has succeeded in disrupting the car service business, growing on almost every front. As it has grown, though, the business has had trouble finding traction with its business model and there is a sense that a transitional moment is approaching, where the companies in the business will be judged not just on promise and potential but on profits. The companies are responding by forming partnerships with each other and other companies.
