Episode Details

Charles Spencer, Princess Diana’s brother, drops explosive new claims in his upcoming memoir, alleging Prince Charles dismissed Diana’s legacy during the funeral planning—saying William and Harry would “forget her soon enough”—and showing contempt for her. Buckingham Palace swiftly rebuffed, hinting Spencer’s grief may have skewed his memory. This reignites old tensions between Diana’s family and the royals, recalling how the palace’s delayed response to Diana’s death exposed a chasm in public trust. Spencer’s fiery eulogy and now this book frame him as a fierce guardian of Diana’s memory, challenging the royal narrative and reshaping how we view that pivotal, painful era—and its lasting impact on William, Harry, and even King Charles III.
