Mobile Arena Brings Ball Hockey to Kids | Wilmington News
Description
Ball hockey is rolling into the Cape Fear area thanks to the new Mobile Ball Hockey Arena Activation Program, launched by the Wilmington Arena Project on September 17th. Backed by local heroes like Novant Health, EmergeOrtho, and the YMCA, this mobile initiative brings the game straight to schools and community groups — giving kids their first shot at a fast-paced, fun sport. With nearly 100 students already hooked after kickoff events at the Children’s Museum and GLOW Academy, the program’s focus on accessibility and excitement is already paying off. This isn’t just about hockey — it’s about getting kids moving, engaged, and building community one rink at a time.
