Episode Details

Steve Belichick, son of legendary coach Bill Belichick and defensive coordinator at North Carolina, is stepping down amid a university investigation into the football program’s conduct — findings that revealed actions “clearly disregarded” school values. His resignation takes effect late October, following a preseason medical leave. This comes after the recent exit of general manager Michael Lombardi, a key hire by Bill Belichick himself, adding to the program’s upheaval. With foundational leadership gone, UNC now faces a critical rebuilding phase to restore trust and uphold its standards under new leadership.
