As well as being a mother to two beautiful boys, Troy and Zac, Marlies Hobbs has a thriving family business and a successful cookbook to her name. Formerly a planning and environment lawyer, Marlies left her career in law to open the first Paleo Café with her husband Jai in Cairns in October 2012.
After the birth of Marlies and Jai’s first son, Troy, who suffered from severe reflux caused by a dairy intolerance, Marlies discovered it was this same intolerance that had caused her adult acne and digestive problems.
Adopting the Paleo lifestyle improved the health of Marlies' family and resolved her skin and digestion issues. Marlies has lost weight, sleeps better and feels fit, healthy and alive. It was this discovery that now fuels her endless passion for sharing the Paleo lifestyle.
