Rockhampton will host rowing in 2032 after winning the approval of the International Olympic Committee. Firefighters are battling a large blaze that's tearing through kilometres of bushland in Rockhampton. It's been a marathon effort to protect homes as authorities warn nowhere in Queensland is safe this bushfire season. After several false starts, the Federal Government has released its immigration policy, cutting student, family reunion and backpacker visa numbers.
