Last night, Tamera Nealy announced that Nolan Wells’ former friends Warren Hudson, Jax Pitalo and Morgan Seymour, through their attorney Edward Andrew Paltzik, are now targeting The View’s Sunny Hostin with a presuit defamation demand letter.

Sunny Hostin is now the second major public figure to receive one of these letters, following Rev. Al Sharpton.

But Edward Paltzik didn’t simply send the letter and leave it there. Tamera turned the announcement into an entire YouTube Live event.

The livestream started at 8 PM, and it took nearly 45 minutes before Sunny Hostin’s name was finally revealed. Tamera encouraged viewers in the comment section to guess who the next person would be before the announcement, almost turning it into a game show. At one point, she even asked why they shouldn’t “have a little fun with this.”

And once again, I have to ask: WHAT DOES ANY OF THIS HAVE TO DO WITH FINDING JUSTICE FOR NOLAN WELLS?

Before revealing Sunny’s name, Tamera walked her audience through her version of what happened on July 4, discussing Nolan’s trip to Horn Island and the events surrounding his disappearance. In my opinion, the presentation was filled with misinformation, disputed claims and attempts to change the narrative.

She discussed Ben Crump and Al Sharpton, played clips from Good Morning America, TMZ and Nolan’s funeral, and showed footage involving Nolan’s mother Christine and Elmore. She also discussed former Officer Brandon Tatum’s first interview involving the boys and explained how she became involved in this case.

Tamera then revisited the first presuit defamation demand sent to Al Sharpton and played a clip from Tatum’s appearance on her show, where he suggested that several people covering or discussing this case should receive defamation letters, in which my name was included. 

Then came the big reveal.

Tamera announced that Sunny Hostin would be the next person receiving a presuit defamation demand letter. She proceeded to spend roughly another hour going through the letter and the allegations against Sunny.

But something stood out to me: even people in Tamera’s own comment section were questioning what they were hearing. Some viewers were saying that Sunny’s statements didn’t sound defamatory to them and questioning why she had been selected when other people have made far more inflammatory statements publicly.

And that brings me right back to what I said when Al Sharpton received his letter.

In my opinion, Sunny Hostin and Al Sharpton were selected because their names bring NATIONAL ATTENTION.

I believe this is about keeping the spotlight on Warren, Jax and Morgan, shifting the public conversation and changing the narrative surrounding Nolan Wells.

According to the letter as presented, Sunny is being asked to retract statements, delete posts concerning the three boys and issue a public apology through the media.

My position remains exactly the same as it was when Al Sharpton received his letter: I do not believe Al Sharpton or Sunny Hostin will be intimidated into silence by these demands.

I also do not believe these threats and letters should distract anyone from the questions that remain unanswered in Nolan Wells’ case.

What happened to Nolan?

Where is the complete information surrounding his autopsy?

What happened with his throat and neck?

What information is contained on Nolan’s phone?

Those are the questions I believe deserve the attention.

In my opinion, these public legal threats have become a distraction from those unanswered questions. I believe they are being used as a fear tactic, a smear tactic and an attempt to influence the public narrative surrounding this case.
