Description
CBS Radio Mystery Theater presents “The Ghost in the Well,” episode 806, originally broadcast March 28, 1978. Written by Murray Burnett and directed by Himan Brown, this CBS Radio Network drama stars Tony Roberts and Patricia Elliott.
An artist becomes compelled to paint the portrait of a mysterious woman’s spirit, opening a supernatural doorway into New York’s historic Manhattan Well murder case. Inspired by the 1800 trial of Levi Weeks—defended by Aaron Burr, Alexander Hamilton, and Henry Brockholst Livingston—the drama blends an eerie studio séance with a haunting chapter of early American history.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
