College Football’s Last Call: Week 2 — Georgia Rolls, Texas Survives & Chaos Begins

Season 6 Episode 214 Published 1 month, 2 weeks ago
Description

College Football’s Last Call is back for Week 2 of the 2026 season.

Joshua Stein, Laurence Kessler and Jason Ganz break down what we’ve learned through the first two weeks of college football — and which of their preseason predictions may already be headed for the trash.

The guys start in Athens, where Georgia has cruised through its first two games behind an efficient Gunner Stockton, a deep group of playmakers and a defense that has handled its business. They discuss Nate Frazier looking different, the depth at tight end and wide receiver, Georgia’s new white uniforms and whether there is anything to worry about before SEC play begins at Arkansas.

Then it’s around the country: Texas survives Ohio State, the Arch Manning debate continues, Clemson may be in serious trouble, Oregon takes a stunning early loss, Michigan creates controversy, Georgia Tech looks headed for a long season, and Miami may have a remarkably clear path through the ACC.

Finally, the guys look ahead to Lane Kiffin’s return to Oxford for LSU–Ole Miss, Laurence puts another Sucker Bet on the board, and Jason hands out a crowded field of nominees before crowning his Jimbo of the Week.

Two weeks down. Overreactions are officially welcome.
