Episode 183
Published 2 weeks, 5 days ago
Description
In today's episode we're diving into the federal guilty plea of former senior NIAID advisor David M. Morens.
We examine how Morens and co-conspirators used personal Gmail accounts to secretly discuss bat coronavirus research grants and bypass Freedom of Information Act oversight after NIH terminated funding for Wuhan-related research.
We also uncover allegations involving personal favors, including gifts of wine, tied to public commentary advocating a natural origin for COVID-19. Join us as we explore the legal consequences, federal records laws, and what this breach of transparency reveals about government accountability during a major global pandemic.
