Episode Details

Houston Cougars surge into the spotlight as Conner Weigman asserts himself as the signal-caller to watch against Texas Tech. Can Houston's dual-threat quarterback outshine Will Hammond and capitalize on Tech’s offseason drama? Parker Ainsworth breaks down Weigman’s efficient passing, Houston’s run-first offense, and why the Cougars could have the edge in this high-stakes Big 12 showdown.

National analysts are suddenly picking Houston as a trendy underdog, and Ainsworth explores whether the Cougars’ momentum is a gift or a curse. With insights on roster payroll rankings from The Athletic, he questions how Willie Fritz is building a top-25 team with fewer resources than rivals like Texas Tech. Is Houston’s unique recruiting culture fueling their rise, and can this underdog mentality power the Cougars to a statement victory on Friday night?
