The fuel gauge is hovering over empty, the interstate is littered with wrecks, and every overpass feels like a question you might not like the answer to. Jack keeps the truck crawling north out of Roanoke with Rachel, Lily, and Mr. Rogers, doing the kind of brutal gas math that decides whether you sleep in a seat or walk into the dark. When the numbers refuse to add up, one oversized landmark appears on the horizon: Buc-ees, the biggest gas station on the highway, and maybe the biggest risk they have taken in days.
