In this episode, Allie dives into the topic of toxic mommy culture, asking questions about whether or not postpartum moms truly lack control over their bodies. Allie looks at how toxic mommy culture is being spread online through videos of moms embarrassing their sweet babies for clicks and the influence of the Lindsay Clancy case on these trends. While postpartum depression and anxiety do exist, what is being seen online is rooted in the sin of anger that is not being handled with maturity. Allie offers encouragement to those struggling, sharing that the Holy Spirit is not hindered by women’s hormones and gives biblical advice as to how Christians’ should handle emotions or negative feelings toward their kids. To help tackle this topic, Allie invites mom and Share the Arrows speaker Audrey Broggi onto the show to share both wisdom and personal experience. Allie concludes by looking at the one hold out juror in the Lindsay Clancy case and the horrendous push back he has been receiving for his decision.
