All eyes shift to Fed Chair Kevin Warsh on Wednesday as he prepares to oversee what could be the first interest-rate change of his tenure.
With the CME's FedWatch tool showing an above-92% chance of a 25-basis point rate hike, the path for interest rates seems a foregone conclusion this week. But what will Warsh say at the 2:30pm EDT press briefing? This will be the key to Wednesday's Fed news - not necessarily the interest rate decision itself. Will he show concern about inflation? Job growth? AI safety? Trump's gold fish, Blimpie?
