場景：Rachel 剛到美國公司，要跟同事 Eric 約下週的專案會議；她把中文的「方便」直接搬進英文，Eric 一邊約時間一邊糾正。

Rachel: Hey Eric, I want to set up the project meeting. Are you convenient next Tuesday?
（嘿 Eric，我想約專案會議。你下週二方便嗎？（中文腦直翻，convenient 不能拿人當主詞））

Eric: Ha, you mean, does Tuesday work for me? Yeah, Tuesday's fine. What time?
（哈，你是想問「週二我可以嗎」吧？可以啊，週二沒問題。幾點？）

Rachel: Ten in the morning? Or if that's bad, I'm also convenient in the afternoon.
（早上十點？如果不行，我下午也方便。（又把人當主詞了））

Eric: Quick fix: we'd say I'm also free in the afternoon, or the afternoon works too. Convenient is for the time, not the person.
（小修一下：我們會說「我下午也有空」或「下午也可以」。convenient 是形容時間，不是形容人。）

Rachel: Oh! So I say the time is convenient, not that I am convenient.
（喔！所以是「時間」方便，不是「我」方便。）

Eric: Exactly. Like, is ten convenient for you? The time is convenient, and you come after for.
（沒錯。像「Is ten convenient for you?」——方便的是時間，人放在 for 後面。）

Rachel: Got it. Is ten convenient for you, then?

Eric: Ten works. Let's grab the small room on the second floor. It's more convenient, right next to our desks.
