My high school accounting teacher called me stupid in front of the entire class.

Years later, I went on to study accounting, business management and finance.

There’s a lesson in that I’ve never forgotten:

People can’t see your potential. They can only judge the evidence you’ve given them so far.

Someone can meet you during an unfinished chapter and assume they’re looking at the entire story.

They’re not.

Don’t allow somebody else’s assessment of who you are today to determine who you’re willing to become tomorrow.

Never settle for scratching the surface of your potential because someone else failed to see your greatness.
