Description
Frontier Gentleman presents “Remittance Man (John Dehner Edited Audition),” recorded January 30, 1958. This audition features John Dehner as London Times correspondent J. B. Kendall and was written, directed, and produced by Antony Ellis.
After a long river journey, Kendall arrives in South Sunday, Montana Territory, expecting a remittance from England. Instead, he finds a wary town where the sheriff bans firearms and the feared Shelton brothers cast a long shadow. This audition script was later reused for the CBS series premiere, “The Shelton Brothers.”
