Zahara McCoy shares her incredible story of loss, faith, redemption, and purpose. Born in Uganda, Zahara lost both of her parents to HIV/AIDS as a young child and faced poverty, hunger, and the threat of child marriage. But God answered the prayers of a frightened ten-year-old girl through an unexpected sponsor who helped her return to school and eventually opened the door for her to come to the United States. Years later, Zahara returned to Uganda and became the leader of Children of Grace, a Christian nonprofit helping vulnerable children through education, discipleship, medical care, and social support. Zahara’s story is a beautiful reminder that God doesn’t just rescue us from something—He rescues us for something.
